I invite you to take a visual nature walk, to enjoy a glimpse of sunshine and beautiful flowers here in Florida. In a photography class I am taking, called Photo Meditation, our lesson this week is to create a collage that tells a story about part of our day. The dogs, Lucy and Hank, enjoy going with me for our nature path walk. Taking my camera along turns it into a form of meditation for me, as I become focused in the beauty of the present moment. Let me share the magic details, so you can experience a mini-retreat too. And share in the sunshine, in case it is gloomy weather where you live.
Beginning with the left photo, come join me to relax! ( you can click on the picture to make it larger.)
- Starting out. Noticing the pattern, shape and texture of the bricks.
- The boardwalk stretches out; a beckoning path along the pond. Wood textures, cloud reflections, peaceful water, happy dogs.
- Pink Hibiscus flowers growing on a tree. Shades of pink, flower shadows on my hand, sunlight.
- Stop to enjoy looking at the water. Lucy wants to look too. A few minnows and abundant plants growing.
- Flowers colors to draw you in. Vibrant, colorful, contrasts.
- Little details to look at. They look like tiny stars resting after nighttime.
- Those pink flowers catch my eye again. As I am focusing a yellow butterfly lands and lets me take her picture.
- A quiet moment in the shade by the ferns. I like the way the light is filtering through the trees. Standing on some earth to help me feel grounded.
- Take a big breath, feeling much more refreshed. Back home.
I hope you feel more refreshed too! Feel free to share any comments below. Thanks for letting me bring you along.

What a beautiful photo nature walk. Thank you for sharing it. I miss the color where I am already.
Thanks Kim. The flowers here in Florida are very colorful so it is fun to share! Blessings, Nancy
