“What would happen this week to make the week perfect, glorious and grand?” This was a question asked in the writing class I am taking with Jess Morrow called Invincible Summer. (It is a fabulous class! Bringing up lots of healing moments for me, as well as fun writing). Jess encourages us to free write first, which is a powerful way of letting my inner voice come forth. It is not always what I expect to hear.
“I mostly just want my energy levels back. It is hard to dream any big dreams right now…not yet. So my first dream is to wake one morning feeling refreshed and full of light, vibrant energy for the whole day! Then a whole week. That would be glorious. I dream of having enough energy to dream again.”
For the last two years most of my focus has been on family, living with my daughter and healing from grief. While it is great to be back home, I am more tired than I have been in quite awhile. It is very frustrating! I just want to be able to do things again. But one thing I have learned in the grieving process is to listen to what my body needs. I have to just surrender to resting now, for whatever reason my body needs it. Sigh. Pushing it will not help.
The next part of our class assignment was to write about three steps we could take to get us closer to our dreams. I kept thinking of the “nourish” word that came forth in the writing about the peonies. Besides rest…ugh, what three things would help nourish and refill my body?
- Do 10 minutes of gentle yoga each day
- Drinks smoothies full of fruits and vitamins to rebuild my energy
- Schedule a nourishing massage

I love your post and your plan for nourishing yourself:)
Hi Michelle. Thank you!! Blessings, Nancy
