Sometimes it is the little daily routines that bring me a sense of joy and contentment. We live on a farm and have a baby calf whose mama died. So the little calf needs to be bottle fed morning and night. My white fluffy dog Lucy thinks going out to feed the calf is the most exciting thing ever. She can ride in the Ranger, visit with the barn cats and the calf, and just have fun. It makes me laugh to see Lucy out in the barn. She just does NOT look like a farm dog!
Here are a few pictures of our adventure bottle feeding the calf..to make you smile. Like we say to Lucy, “who want to come along and feed the calf?” Lucy does!
Casey, (our real farm dog..lol) and Lucy load up in the Ranger, excited to go.
We ride down to the barn together, wind blowing our hair.
We feed the baby calf her bottle.
Play on the hay bales.
Look up and say hi to the calf, who is getting bigger every day.
And ride back to the house, happy and content.
Hope you enjoyed Lucy’s adventure! This makes me smile every day.
Are there routines that bring you joy? Or that your animals make even more fun by their excitement?
Lucy reminds you to have fun!
Blessings, Nancy and Lucy

Lucy does look as if it is the best thing that ever happened to her. A daily ride and adventure.
You and Lucy sure bring a smile to my day. (Casey and the calf are cute too.)
So much fun…love how animals interact with each other, what a blessed life you have
Love your story and the photos! Yes, we have an animal that enriches our lives. When Maggie, our part long-haired chihuahua, runs, she intersperses her run with leaps into the air, suspended with all 4 feet off the ground. It is such a joyful sight, makes me laugh out loud almost every time.
Your post made me smile – there’s such innocent joy in animals – something to remember, the simple things
.
Oh, Nancy, Lucy is such a sweet little cutie!
I am glad Lucy is bringing you joy. It is what she loves to do. Blessings, Nancy
