This is a time of harvest on the farm. The wide expanse of grassy fields have been cut for hay. I think about how the grasses hold the rain, the sun and the elements of the earth. Isn’t it amazing that grasses dried in the sunshine can feed cattle, horses and my cute mini-donkeys all winter? The hay smells sweet.
As I go on my nature walks, I feel blessed by the beauty, by the peace of being able to live on a farm. It helps me see miracles everywhere.
I am grateful for:
My golden horse Ripple, so beautiful and sweet
Wide fields of harvested bales of hay
Ellie, my gray mini-donkey mama
Yellow wildflowers that pop up like a gift
Odie, such a wise old man in mini-donkey form
The cattle laying peacefully in the shade as we walk by
The first signs of fall…a few leaves beginning to change color.
Cooler mornings that allow me to go for long walks out in nature.
May you be blessed by many gifts, today and every day.
Nancy

How blessed you are to have such natural beauty around you so mindfully created. The mini-donkeys are so cute and my favorite image is the simple flower in the middle:)

What gorgeous photos, Nancy – you do live in a lovely place, surrounded by all those animals. We’re in winter here, so it’s lovely to see some summer
